Kementerian Perindustrian menyerahkan Penghargaan Industri Hijau Tahun 2017 kepada 124 industriyang meliputi 87 perusahaan memperoleh level 5 dan sebanyak 37 perusahaan memperoleh penghargaan level 4. Upaya ini sebagai bentuk apresiasi serta motivasi pemerintah kepada manufaktur dalam negeri yang telah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip industri hijau dalam proses produksinya.
